Paper and Silk 2016 - 2022

Selection of watercolours, drawings and silk paintings

  • This series of pencil drawings mimic the interlocking textile techniques of knitting, weaving and macramé. A contemplation on connectivity, continuous tangled threads loop repeatedly, creating interlaced fabric. Dictated by the edges of the frame the rules of the pattern change slightly as one drawing informs the next. The rope wall hanging is a response to the drawing process as the looping formation translates to physical form.
